Jess Plattner

Jess Plattner started playing music when her family moved to Switzerland in 2004. No longer able to keep up with goal of becoming a dancer and possibly out of sheer boredom, Jess started to spend hours and hours practicing singing in her room. Before long she began to teach herself the piano as well, playing whatever came naturally. She formed a band with her school friends and her brother and together they played various shows under what could be described as an alter-ego, ‘Jess Elva‘, in Berne, Switzerland as well as at The End Of The Road Festival in England.

In 2010 Jess moved to Melbourne in hope of somehow being able to record her debut album there. Then by complete chance she met Emlyn Lucas who is her current producer at Yo Mama Recording Studios. The album, which should be released later this year, features 12 songs which make up the record.
